The Illinois Chapter of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), established in 1968, has over 300 members who are professionals in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Illinois Chapter of AAIDD promotes education, training and networking among its members and other professionals in the field of disabilities. The Chapter is also active in public policy and budgetary issues that impact a person with an intellectual or developmental disability, or the family of that person.
